Referment is working with a financial services technology company operating across global markets. Procurement is central to protecting margins, managing third‑party risk and keeping its supplier base aligned to the security and compliance standards expected of a regulated business.
The Role
You'll own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for goods and services across the company's global offices, from sourcing and tendering through contract negotiation and supplier onboarding. You'll manage supplier and vendor relationships, running regular performance reviews and risk assessments to make sure service levels, commercial terms and data security standards are met.
You'll partner with finance, legal and IT stakeholders to build procurement policies, approval workflows and category strategies that support growth and regulatory obligations, and you'll identify and deliver cost savings across the supplier base, tracking KPIs and savings against budget for senior leadership. You'll also own the invoice-to-pay platform and its setup and management.
What We're Looking For
- Strong working knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies and contract negotiation, gained as a procurement manager or senior buyer.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, contracts and vendor risk, ideally in technology, financial services or another regulated industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the confidence to influence senior leadership and work across finance, legal and IT.
- A degree in business, supply chain management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Hands-on experience with procurement or contract lifecycle management systems.
- Experience with Amazon Marketplace spend management.
- Procurement in a global, multi-currency organisation.
- CIPS qualification or working towards it.
This could suit a procurement or senior buyer professional in a technology or regulated business who wants to shape procurement practice end to end rather than run a single category.
