The Role:
As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a talented team of four developers, supporting key tools for position and risk management, conviction-building, post-trading analysis, and performance analysis. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders at all levels, providing solutions through the full SDLC process.
Technologies and Platform:
Core platform built with .NET (C#), SQL Server, and KDB. A WPF desktop for core functionality and a Python-based strategy platform for bespoke user solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the needs of CIOs and portfolio managers.
- Implement solutions across all SDLC phases, from design to maintenance.
- Create reusable components for the strategic platform.
- Ensure high-quality work through code reviews and technology development.
- Provide user support and effectively monitor the system.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive software engineering experience in the financial industry, preferably with exposure to capital markets.
- Strong C# skills and expertise in design patterns, architecture, data structures, multi-threading, and RESTful services.
- Proficiency in Python and creating Python APIs/libraries.
