Referment is partnering with a leading engineering and construction business to recruit a Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer to join a highly respected in‑house design team delivering complex structural, demolition, and heavy civil engineering projects across the UK.   • Needling, propping & structural support systems
  • Basement retention & excavation support
  • Demolition sequencing & construction methodology

  • Value engineering during pre‑construction

  • Reviewing external consultant designs
  • Site inspections and constructability assessments

You’ll work alongside senior engineering and operational teams on technically demanding projects where engineering excellence genuinely drives project success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in temporary works and structural engineering
  • Background in construction, demolition, heavy civils, or specialist engineering
  • Experience producing and checking calculations and technical reports
  • Understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
  • AutoCAD and technical drafting capability
  • Ability to communicate confidently with project teams and clients
