Referment is working with a growing financial technology business to hire a Senior Professional Services Consultant to work with leading global financial institutions.
The company develops sophisticated technology used to analyse trading activity and identify potential market conduct and regulatory risks.
This is a highly client-facing role combining capital-markets expertise, technical problem solving and implementation.
You'll work with customers from initial demonstrations and Proof of Concepts through to full implementation, using your understanding of trading and risk to configure solutions around complex customer requirements.
The Role
- You’ll Be Responsible For
- Working directly with financial institutions to understand their trading activity and requirements.
- Analysing customer trade data to identify requirements and appropriate solutions.
- Supporting product demonstrations and customer pitches.
- Designing and running Proof of Concepts.
- Leading customers through implementation and onboarding.
- Configuring the platform around customer requirements.
- Running and analysing data batches.
- Troubleshooting technical and data-related implementation issues.
- Developing custom metrics and reports.
- Working with Sales during new-business opportunities.
- Collaborating with Engineering and other technical teams to resolve customer requirements.
- Managing multiple customer projects and competing priorities.
- Delivering implementations against agreed deadlines
- You’ll Need
What We're Looking For
- Significant professional experience within financial markets, ideally from a trading, risk or quantitative background.
- Strong understanding of fixed-income markets and derivatives.
- Good understanding of risk sensitivities and Greeks including Delta, Gamma and DV01.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming or scripting language such as SQL, Python or C#.
- The ability to analyse trading and financial-market data.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience managing complex projects or customer requirements.
- The ability to explain sophisticated financial and technical concepts clearly.
Previous experience within Reg Tech, trade surveillance, trading technology, risk systems or capital-markets software would be particularly valuable but isn't essential.
This could suit someone currently working as a Professional Services Consultant, Capital Markets Consultant, Trading Systems Consultant, Quantitative Analyst, Risk Analyst, Trading Business Analyst or Product Specialist who wants a more client-facing position.
