Referment are partnering with a growing engineering and infrastructure specialist to hire an experienced Senior Detailer to join their expanding design and fabrication team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in structural steel detailing, ideally within large-scale infrastructure, rail, civils or complex structural projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience within detailing / steelwork environments
  • Strong TEKLA Structures experience
  • Background in structural steel, rail or major civils projects
  • Exposure to landmark projects such as Crossrail, HS2, rail networks or similar large infrastructure schemes is highly desirable
  • Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Experience producing fabrication and installation drawings
  • Strong communication skills with clients, fabrication and site teams

Ideal profile

  • We’re particularly interested in candidates coming from Tier 2 contractors or specialist engineering businesses, rather than heavily Tier 1-led backgrounds.
  • Candidates should also be able to clearly demonstrate project ownership and transparency on their CV
