Referment is partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed consulting and RegTech business that is delivering large-scale transformation programmes across financial services. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing boutique consultancy as a Senior Consultant, where you will gain far greater exposure, responsibility, and variety than you would in a traditional large consulting environment. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, including CEO and Executive Committee members across leading financial institutions, helping shape and deliver complex transformation initiatives spanning strategy, operations, risk, compliance, data, and technology.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Exposure to high-impact transformation work across top-tier financial institutions
  • Broad project variety across strategy, operations, data, risk, and regulatory change
  • Flat structure with direct access to senior leadership
  • Faster progression based on impact, not tenure
  • Opportunity to help shape a scaling consultancy
  • A genuinely entrepreneurial environment where your ideas are valued
  • Strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery

This role would suit a delivery-focused management consultant who enjoys solving complex business problems, working closely with clients, and taking ownership from analysis through to execution.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading and delivering strategic transformation and operating model initiatives
  • Analysing business processes, governance structures, and operational challenges
  • Hands-on design and implementation of Target Operating Models (TOMs)
  • Working across broad strategic, operational, and digital transformation programmes
  • Translating data and analysis into actionable business recommendations
  • Building senior stakeholder relationships across client organisations
  • Supporting business development, proposals, and research initiatives

They are looking for someone with:

  • 2-5 years of core management consulting experience within Financial Services, ideally within a boutique or high-growth environment
  • A proven track record of broad business transformation delivery, with specific experience in strategic change, digital transformation, or automation projects
  • Strong hands-on experience in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and business process analysis
  • A profile focused on front-line consulting delivery and execution rather than PMO, governance, or administrative-heavy roles
  • A generalist management consulting background, with a focus on strategic and operational change rather than technical solutions delivery (such as CRM implementation or data engineering)
  • A broad experience base across change and strategy, rather than a narrow focus on regulatory change or financial crime
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including CEO and Executive Committee members
  • A commercial mindset with strong ownership and drive
  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Clear progression opportunities in a scaling business. Excellent benefits package including private healthcare, enhanced parental leave, and professional development support.

If you are looking for a role where you can accelerate your consulting career, gain meaningful client exposure, and have real influence in a growing business, apply now.
