Senior Accountant (F815AA3)

Referment is working with a financial technology business providing currency risk and cash management solutions to investment firms and corporate treasury teams. It is looking for a Senior Accountant to keep day-to-day accounting accurate and support the reporting and controls behind the business.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll work across core ledgers, reconciliations, statutory reporting and management accounts. This is a hands‑on accounting role: you'll need to be comfortable with transaction detail while also explaining financial matters clearly to colleagues outside finance.

You’ll work with colleagues and third parties, support auditors and step in for the Financial Manager when required. The appeal is the combination of operational accounting and reporting, rather than a remit limited to one ledger or process.

The Role

• Maintain core accounting records, ensuring invoices, expenses, payments and other transactions are posted accurately.




• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, follow up collections and payments, and maintain sales reporting.




• Prepare accruals and prepayments, complete VAT and other statutory reports, and keep fixed‑asset accounting up to date.




• Complete bank and cash reconciliations and prepare cash reporting.




• Assist with management accounts and other financial reports, and respond to audit enquiries.




• Support other departments with operational finance questions and deputise for the Financial Manager when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• At least four years of accounting experience, including work in a fast‑moving, growing business.




• Hands‑on Oracle NetSuite experience, which is an essential requirement, and advanced Excel skills.




• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with the accuracy needed to maintain dependable records.




• Clear communication, good organisation and the ability to manage your time without close supervision.




• Sound judgement when handling confidential financial information.

Useful Additional Experience

A completed or in‑progress professional accounting qualification is welcome, rather than mandatory. Audit experience, finance software implementations, familiarity with FX spot trades and forwards, or experience using Planful, Concord and AP/AR tools would also be useful.

This could suit a hands‑on financial or management accountant with NetSuite experience who enjoys combining reliable transaction processing with reporting and practical support to the wider business.
