Referment is working with a global investment management firm to hire a Sales and Relationship Management Associate for its London Investor Relations team.
The firm manages multi-strategy investment portfolios for institutional and individual clients worldwide. You'll join a collegial Investor Relations team that sits at the commercial heart of the business, working directly with relationship managers who own the firm's client and prospect relationships.
This role blends day-to-day relationship support with longer-term project work, and offers meaningful exposure to high-level commercial decision-making as well as genuine professional development.
The Role
- Work alongside relationship managers to develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects, promoting the firm's full range of investment capabilities.
- Provide timely, accurate responses to inbound investor requests.
- Keep investors informed about firm and strategy developments.
- Maintain the data and operational infrastructure behind investor-relationship efforts.
- Manage longer-term projects, including designing and maintaining robust product development and prospecting processes, coordinating with Investor Relations colleagues and other groups across the firm.
What We're Looking For
- An undergraduate degree and a strong record of academic and professional achievement.
- Two to five years of experience in a related field; backgrounds in corporate strategy, business development, or management consulting are welcomed.
- Curiosity about financial markets and a willingness to build fluency in financial concepts, capital markets, and the firm's investment capabilities.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and keen attention to detail.
- A process-oriented mindset: able to execute short-term tasks while managing long-term projects, and keen to work as part of a team.
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues of varying seniorities, both inside and outside your own team, in a rigorous, collaborative environment.
This could suit a consultant, strategist, or business development professional with a genuine interest in financial markets who wants to move closer to investors and investment decision-making.
