Reinsurance and Capital Associate (4390674)

Referment is working with a delegated underwriting business that combines insurance expertise, data and technology to support stronger portfolio decisions and capacity partnerships. Its reinsurance and capital team manages relationships with reinsurers, capital providers and consortium partners that underpin underwriting capacity.

Joining that team, you’ll work closely with senior reinsurance and business leaders across capital strategy, capacity planning and outward placements. The remit combines market-facing coordination with detailed analytical and documentation work: bringing together reliable underwriting and exposure data, preparing high-quality submissions, and keeping annual engagement and renewal activity on track.

The Role

• Support reinsurance and capital initiatives, including meetings with reinsurers and capital providers, negotiation preparation and relationship development.
• Coordinate submission packs, presentation materials, contractual documentation and responses to market queries.
• Manage the annual calendar of renewals, roadshows, investor discussions and other reinsurance and capital activity.
• Consolidate and validate underwriting and exposure data for submissions to reinsurers and capital providers.
• Support modelling analysis and financial outputs used in placement decisions.
• Take an active role in outward placements, acting as a key contact for brokers and tracking timelines, market responses and deliverables.
• Work with underwriting, actuarial, finance, operations and technology colleagues to maintain data integrity and efficient workflows.
• Help standardise submission and presentation packs within the business’s technology platform, identifying sensible opportunities for automation.
• Partner with marketing colleagues so external materials are clear, consistent and fit for their audience.
