Referment are working with a leading construction business to support the hire of a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team, delivering large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. There are multiple opportunities covering all regions. This is a site-based role (5 days per week), offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects from early-stage procurement through to final account.
The Role
- Managing the commercial aspects of projects, including:
- Preparing tender and contract documentation
- Cost planning, analysis, and control
- Managing subcontractor procurement and payments
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and variations
- Supporting project delivery teams with forecasting and cost reporting
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Producing final accounts and ensuring financial accuracy across projects
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
- Background working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
- Experience on civils or large-scale construction projects
- Exposure to UK-based projects is highly desirable
- Qualifications (one or more):
- HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
- Membership (or working towards) with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (e.g. MRICS)
- BTEC / HNC / HND in Building Studies, Engineering or Management
- CSCS Card (desirable, not essential)

- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
