Referment is working with a London-based company whose AI platform helps the world's biggest construction projects make faster, more confident, data-driven decisions, combining a large dataset of project plans with machine learning to forecast outcomes and reduce risk.
The company is looking for a Project Controls Engineer with a background in project controls, planning or risk analysis on construction projects to join its client team. You'll work closely with senior client engineers to help clients get real value from the product, and you'll be curious about generative AI or keen to build that exposure. If you've been frustrated by the limitations of QSRA workshops, poor forecasting data or limited time for analysis, this could be the role for you.
You'll be given real ownership early, backed by mentorship, and you'll attend monthly client visits and team meetings in the London office, with the opportunity to visit international clients.
The Role
- Support the wider deployment team in coaching clients on how to maximise the value they get from the product.
- Build relationships within client organisations and understand their needs and pain points.
- Help configure the product so it brings value to clients.
- Help clients understand and adopt advanced analysis features, including custom LLM-based analysis.
- Work with the commercial team to support engagement, retention and expansion.
- Work with product managers and AI engineers, contributing to prototyping and to the LLM evaluation cycle.
What We're Looking For
- Up to 2 years of experience in a planning, risk, PMO or project management role on construction projects, or equivalent academic or professional grounding in project controls.
- A solid understanding of construction schedules (P6) β how they're built and how to read them.
- A solid understanding of probabilistic schedule risk analysis and foundational statistics.
- An interest in supporting projects that meaningfully improve outcomes.
- A passion for applying technology to improve the construction industry.
- A relationship-building instinct and a focus on delighting customers.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a software company or implementing software in a construction context.
- Experience working with LLM applications.
This could suit a planner, risk analyst or PMO professional early in their career who wants to move into a client-facing technology role, or a recent graduate with a relevant grounding in project controls.
