Referment is working with a specialist cyber-insurance brokerage that helps businesses navigate a complex and fast-changing risk. This is a commercial role for someone who wants responsibility across the full client journey, from opening a new conversation through to developing the opportunity and retaining the relationship.
You will combine persistent outbound business development with considered follow-up and long-term account management. The role suits an inquisitive, competitive person who enjoys learning a technical market and building credibility with senior decision-makers. Previous sales experience can help, but attitude, work ethic and the willingness to improve are central to the brief.
The Role
- Generate new business through focused outbound calling and engage senior decision-makers.
- Develop opportunities over sales cycles that may last several months, maintaining relevant and timely contact until clients are ready to proceed.
- Manage client relationships after placement, using market updates, meetings and relevant events to support retention.
- Take responsibility for the complete commercial process, from initial prospecting through to renewal.
- Build your knowledge of cyber risk and insurance so you can hold useful, informed conversations with prospective and existing clients.
What We're Looking For
- A strong work ethic and the resilience to sustain regular outbound activity.
- An inquisitive approach, with the confidence to ask questions and learn a specialist subject.
- A competitive mindset combined with professionalism and the ability to respond constructively to feedback.
- Clear communication and the discipline to manage opportunities over an extended sales cycle.
- Prior sales experience is useful but is not essential.
This could suit an early-career salesperson, recruiter, broker, account executive or commercially minded graduate who wants to develop within specialist insurance while owning both new business and client retention.
