Referment is working with an FCA-regulated cross-border payments and foreign exchange business. This role is the operational engine of business partnering, employee relations, recruitment delivery and workforce planning, working closely with the People & Culture Senior Manager to translate strategy into day-to-day delivery.
You’ll manage employee relations cases end to end, partner directly with managers, own recruitment delivery for the business alongside a talent operations colleague, and apply the job levelling framework consistently as the organisation grows.
The Role
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned managers and teams, understanding their needs and turning them into people-focused solutions.
- Support managers through organisational and team changes, advising on people implications and keeping within established frameworks and processes.
- Support the delivery of workforce planning initiatives including organisational design, job levelling, succession planning and career pathways.
- Build management capability through coaching, guidance and proactive partnership.
- Manage employee relations cases end to end, escalating complex or high-risk matters as appropriate, and advise managers while balancing legal and commercial considerations with the company's culture and values.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee relations records, documentation and case files.
- Partner with and guide hiring managers through recruitment for entry-level through to management positions, supporting end-to-end delivery across the business.
- Continuously improve recruitment processes to drive business outcomes and a strong candidate experience, and support the recruitment target operating model.
- Support the adoption of people systems and frameworks, and assist with performance management cycles including probation and annual reviews.
- Produce regular employee relations and recruitment management information for the Senior Manager and Director, analysing trends and proactively flagging risks.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in a People & Culture or HR generalist role covering business partnering, employee relations and recruitment, ideally within a fast-paced fintech or financial services environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing employee relations cases from initiation through to resolution.
- Recruitment delivery experience, including managing end-to-end hiring processes across a variety of roles.
- Strong stakeholder management, able to build credibility and influence managers at all levels.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and its practical application within a commercial environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, managing multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in case management, documentation and reporting.
- A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This could suit an HR generalist or people partner with strong employee relations casework and hands-on recruitment delivery who wants a broad, operational role in a growing regulated business. The role is hybrid and based in London.
