The Opportunity

As a Head of Engineering, you will take ownership of all custom built platforms and lead the development of core systems that underpin global payments and FX solutions. You will be part of the senior technology leadership team, responsible for driving innovation, scalability and resilience across a modern engineering function. The role offers a greenfield environment, providing a rare opportunity to build and shape a team and platform from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the engineering strategy across platforms and products
  • Build and lead a high performing engineering team in a greenfield environment
  • Deliver secure, scalable and high impact financial systems
  • Drive adoption of modern architectures including microservices, event driven systems and cloud native technologies
  • Embed DevSecOps and SRE practices including CI/CD, automation, monitoring and resilience
  • Partner with Product and business stakeholders to align delivery with strategic goals
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong product engineering leadership background
  • Experience within fintech, payments or broader financial services
  • Proven track record leading engineering on critical platforms
  • Strong understanding of regulated environments such as PSD2, MiFID II and GDPR
  • Experience building and scaling engineering teams
  • Deep knowledge of cloud, APIs and modern software delivery practices

  • Hybrid working model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
  • Quarterly bonus structure, discretionary and performance based
