Referment is partnering with Kilnbridge, a leading UK construction and civil engineering contractor, delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure and property projects across London and the South East. Kilnbridge are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a background in construction, property or civil engineering to support pre-construction and bid teams, shaping procurement strategy and building long-term, high-performing supply chain partnerships. Kilnbridge are keen to identify professionals who understand how construction businesses really operate, from bids and trade packages through to delivery on site.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Head of Procurement, you will play a key role in pre-construction and early project stages, developing procurement strategies, mapping construction supply chains, and embedding performance frameworks that support successful project delivery. This is a strategic, construction-facing role, working closely with bid, commercial, engineering, and project teams.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing procurement strategies for construction bids and projects
- Building and maintaining construction supply chain maps across key and non-key trade packages
- Supporting strategic subcontractor and supplier selection
- Creating and managing supply chain data on capability, capacity, compliance, and performance
- Implementing and monitoring KPI and 360° supplier performance frameworks
- Acting as a key interface between construction teams and the supply chain
- Building long-term, performance-led relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting safety, sustainability, innovation, and compliance objectives
Must-have Experience
- Proven supply chain or procurement experience within construction, civil engineering or property
- Strong understanding of trade packages, subcontractors, and construction procurement
- Experience supporting pre-construction, bids, or early project stages
Ideal Background Includes
- Main contractor or EPC environment
- Infrastructure, civils, or complex construction projects
- Data-led approach to supplier performance and decision-making
- CIPS desirable but not essential. CSCS required.
