Referment is partnering with a market-leading specialist engineering and infrastructure contractor to appoint two Senior Estimators to join their expanding Pre-Construction team.

Working on some of the UK's most complex infrastructure schemes, you'll play a pivotal role in developing winning bid strategies, managing the tender process from inception through to contract award, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality commercial and technical submissions.

The responsibilities align with the attached job description, including leading bid strategy, managing tender programmes and budgets, coordinating technical and commercial submissions, engaging with clients and supply chain partners, and mentoring bid teams.

The Role

  • As a Senior Estimator, You'll
  • Lead complex bids from initial enquiry through to successful contract award.
  • Develop bid strategies alongside senior leadership.
  • Chair bid meetings and lead multidisciplinary estimating teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
  • Manage tender budgets, programmes and risk registers.
  • Prepare commercial and technical submissions to the highest standard.
  • Lead tender settlement meetings and project handovers.
  • Mentor and develop junior estimators and bid professionals.
  • We're Looking For

You will be an experienced Senior Estimator with a proven track record of leading successful bids within either:

  • Rail Civil Engineering
  • FRC (Formwork, Reinforcement & Concrete) and Civil Engineering
  • You’ll also have
  • Extensive experience leading bid teams on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple high-value tenders simultaneously.
  • A proactive leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop others.
  • The right to work in the UK.
