Senior Delegated Claims Specialist (73185D5) in London

Referment is working with a specialist underwriting business in the London insurance market. Its delegated authority team oversees external claims administrators and the governance, data quality and regulatory reporting that support delegated claims operations.

This senior specialist role combines hands‑on oversight with audit coordination and analysis. You will manage the onboarding and performance of delegated claims administrators, turn bordereaux data into useful management information, and work across Claims, Underwriting, Compliance and Operations to maintain effective controls.

The Role

• Manage due diligence, onboarding, agreements and ongoing oversight for new and renewed delegated claims administrators.
• Monitor service levels, complaints and issue resolution, maintaining a clear view of administrator performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, review completed work and track remediation actions through to closure.
• Manage the claims auditor panel and annual review process.
• Review and upload claims bordereaux, working with administrators to maintain data quality.
• Use claims data to produce management information, KPIs, trend analysis, conduct‑risk reporting and relevant regulatory returns.
• Contribute to operational‑resilience oversight for coverholders and delegated claims administrators.
• Build effective relationships across Claims, Underwriting, Compliance and Operations and contribute to delegated‑authority and conduct‑risk forums.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands‑on experience overseeing delegated claims authority in the London or Lloyd’s market.
• Strong knowledge of claims processes and the associated regulatory environment.
• Excellent organisation, with the judgement to balance several priorities and follow issues through to resolution.
• Clear communication and confident stakeholder management at different levels.
• Experience with coverholder or bordereaux‑management systems is useful; familiarity with platforms such as VIPR would be valuable.
• ACII is desirable rather than essential.
