This is a site-based leadership role (5 days/week) with occasional travel to regional offices.
You will take full ownership of project delivery across safety, commercial performance, programme, quality, and people leadership, with a specific focus on risk-bearing specialist contractor delivery.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for providing portfolio-level leadership and driving the successful self-delivery of technically complex projects within the structures and reinforced concrete sector. This role requires a leader who can take full commercial strategy ownership and end-to-end accountability for high-stakes infrastructure projects.

- Leading and developing multidisciplinary project teams within a self-delivery model
- Managing high-level client relationships and ensuring expectations are exceeded in complex, regulated environments
- Driving value engineering, buildability, and engineering excellence
- Overseeing project controls, reporting, and performance tracking at a portfolio level
- Supporting pre-construction activities including tenders and methodologies
- Ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and assurance across all projects
What We’re Looking For
- Come from a strong Tier 1 or Tier 2 risk-bearing specialist contractor background
- Have a proven track record in a self-delivery environment (rather than package-led or consultancy-based roles)
- Demonstrate portfolio-level leadership with full commercial and P&L responsibility
- Have 6+ years’ experience in Project Management or Directorship within construction
- Bring 3+ years’ senior leadership experience delivering complex, regulated UK infrastructure projects
- Have delivered large-scale civil engineering or structural/concrete projects with high client exposure
- Ideally have experience working in regulated environments such as MOD facilities
- Show stability in their career history with a focus on contractor-side delivery
