Referment is working with an established regional law firm seeking a qualified residential conveyancer to lead a small team. This office-based role combines responsibility for a controlled caseload with day-to-day supervision, work allocation and support for less experienced colleagues.
You will guide residential property transactions from instruction through post-completion while maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers. The position may suit someone seeking either full-time or part-time hours.
The Role
- Manage a controlled caseload across a broad range of residential property matters.
- Allocate and supervise work within a small conveyancing team so transactions progress effectively.
- Handle transactions from initial instruction through to post-completion.
- Support and develop junior colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and good working practices.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, referrers and introducers.
- Maintain high standards of client service and identify appropriate opportunities to develop new work.
What We're Looking For
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer.
- At least three years' post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
- Confidence managing transactions across the full conveyancing lifecycle.
- The organisation and judgement needed to oversee a small team and controlled caseload.
- Clear communication, strong client care and a collaborative approach.
Desirable Experience
Previous responsibility for supervising a small team or training junior colleagues would be useful but should not exclude a strong conveyancer ready to take that step.
This could suit an experienced residential property lawyer who wants to retain hands‑on case responsibility while developing their people leadership and referrer relationships.
