Referment is working with an established regional law firm seeking an experienced Property Disputes Lawyer. You will join a specialist team advising on both residential and commercial property disputes, with responsibility for managing your own cases and maintaining strong client relationships.

The practice handles a broad mix of landlord and tenant, leasehold and real-property matters. The role offers specialist depth in collective property issues alongside varied contentious work and a meaningful contribution to developing client relationships and new instructions.

The Role

  • Manage property-disputes matters from instruction through resolution, using supervision where appropriate.
  • Advise on right-to-manage and enfranchisement matters, including work involving larger blocks of flats.
  • Handle boundary disputes, lease extensions, landlord and tenant matters, adverse possession, dilapidations and break notices.
  • Give clear, practical advice to clients and build effective relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Contribute to marketing, networking and business-development activity for the practice.

What We're Looking For

  • An experienced qualified lawyer with a substantial grounding in property disputes.
  • Confidence running and managing an individual caseload with appropriate support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to develop trusted client relationships and contribute to the team's external profile.

Desirable Experience

Experience of right-to-manage and enfranchisement work is particularly useful. Candidates with strong expertise across other leasehold, landlord and tenant or real-property disputes should also be considered.

This could suit a property litigator looking to deepen their specialist leasehold expertise while retaining a varied caseload and direct client responsibility.
