The Role:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a talented team of four developers, supporting key tools for position and risk management, conviction-building, post-trading analysis, and performance analysis. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders at all levels, providing solutions through the full SDLC process.

Technologies and Platform:

  • Core platform built with .NET (C#), SQL Server, and KDB.
  • A WPF desktop for core functionality and a Python-based strategy platform for bespoke user solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the needs of CIOs and portfolio managers.
  • Implement solutions across all SDLC phases, from design to maintenance.
  • Create reusable components for the strategic platform.
  • Ensure high-quality work through code reviews and technology development.
  • Provide user support and effectively monitor the system.
  • Extensive software engineering experience in the financial industry, preferably with exposure to capital markets.
  • Strong C# skills and expertise in design patterns, architecture, data structures, multi-threading, and RESTful services.
  • Proficiency in Python and creating Python APIs/libraries.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with relational databases and SDLC tools like Git and JIRA.
  • Experience with WPF and WPF design patterns.
  • Knowledge of equity trading and risk management.
