Referment is recruiting a Sales Manager for an established B2B events and insights business offering significant scope for commercial and career growth.

This is a hands-on new-business opportunity for an experienced Saa S or events seller who can build a pipeline, engage senior enterprise stakeholders and close business.

You will sell sponsorship opportunities that connect solution providers with decision-makers at medium and large enterprises.

A professional background in the Saa S or events sectors is essential.

Relevant areas include marketing software, customer data, CRM and sales technology.

Your ability to qualify and convert enterprise opportunities is more important than previous sponsorship sales experience.

The role

  • Take ownership of new-business sales, from initial engagement through to close.
  • Build a clear understanding of clients’ commercial priorities and target audiences.
  • Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and lead negotiations.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline, accurate forecasts and consistent sales activity.
  • Establish a strong personal sales record, with scope to build a team as you succeed.
  • Depending on the appointment, dedicated SDR support may be available for lead generation and appointment setting.
  • What we’re looking for
  • Proven sales experience within the Saa S or events sectors, specifically working with medium and large enterprise clients.
  • A strong record of personally closing new business.
  • Quantifiable results across quota attainment, deal values and conversion rates.
  • Experience managing relatively short sales cycles, ideally six months or less.
  • A structured qualification methodology, preferably MEDDIC.
  • Exceptional career stability and evidence of sustained contribution.

We are looking for candidates with a consistent track record, typically having held no more than two positions since 2020.

  • Specific details regarding your experience and success within your relevant geographic markets.
  • A clear and transparent history of career progression, including specific reasons for transitions between previous roles.
  • You should be comfortable remaining close to the sales process and accountable for your own results, while bringing the ambition to develop into broader leadership.

Why join?

Monthly events create regular opportunities to earn commission.

The business offers fully remote working, established sales systems and the opportunity for successful performers to take on greater responsibility and build teams around them.
