Referment is working exclusively with a major UK infrastructure and construction organisation to appoint a Head of Compliance & Accreditation for a critical, senior leadership role. This is a high-impact position with national remit, reporting directly into the executive team and responsible for owning and evolving compliance, assurance and accreditation across a complex, regulated business.
The Role
You will provide strategic leadership across all compliance, governance and accreditation activity, ensuring the business maintains sector-critical certifications, remains audit-ready at all times, and continues to mature its Integrated Management System (IMS).
Key Focus Areas Include
- Ownership of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 27001, 50001)
- Leadership of internal and external audits
- Oversight of SSIP schemes and sector accreditations (e.g. Achilles, RISQS, FORS)
- Driving digital transformation across compliance and assurance
- Supporting bids, client assurance and supply-chain compliance
- Acting as the senior compliance representative with clients and regulators
- Leading and developing a small compliance function
About You
- CQI member (CQP / MCQI strongly preferred)
- 10+ years' experience in senior compliance leadership within construction or infrastructure
- Deep expertise in ISO standards, SSIP schemes and industry frameworks
- Confident operating at board and executive level
- Strong systems thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
- Comfortable in a fully on-site leadership role
