Referment is working exclusively with Kilnbridge, a highly respected construction and engineering business, to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager at a pivotal stage of their growth. This is a high-impact role reporting directly into the CFO, acting as the critical bridge between Finance, Commercial and Operations, translating financial insight into better decision-making across the business. This is not a back-office reporting role. It’s a commercially focused position with genuine visibility, influence, and a clear pathway toward a future Financial Controller role.
The Role
- You’ll work closely with the MD, divisional leaders and delivery teams, providing real-time insight into:
- Management accounts, forecasting and budgeting
- KPIs, cash flow and profitability
- Commercial performance across projects and operations
- Financial storytelling — helping non-finance stakeholders truly understand the numbers
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), ideally 5+ years PQE
- Strong Excel and Power BI capability
- Proven experience in management accounts, KPI reporting and financial control
- Commercially minded — able to challenge, influence and drive outcomes
- Collaborative, emotionally intelligent and ambitious
- Construction, engineering, project or plant hire experience is highly desirable
Working Pattern & Expectations
This role is office-based 5 days per week. Candidates must be comfortable with this requirement.
