We are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to join a well-established, growing organisation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a brand-new role, offering the opportunity to truly make it your own and become a key part of the business.

This position is central to the smooth running of the office and wider operations – acting as the “glue” that keeps everything together. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a vital role in supporting people, processes, and day-to-day business activities.

The Role

  • HR & Administration Support
    • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration
    • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
    • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries (with external HR support in place)
  • Training & Compliance
    • Managing training records and ensuring compliance is up to date
    • Scheduling training and monitoring certification renewals
  • Indirect Purchasing
    • Managing office and site consumables (e.g. PPE, cleaning supplies, kitchens)
    • Raising purchase orders, sourcing suppliers, and negotiating best value
    • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve supplier efficiency
  • Office & Facilities Coordination
    • Overseeing day-to-day office operations and supplier relationships
    • Coordinating meetings, visitors, and internal events (including SLT meetings)
    • Ensuring a professional, organised, and well‑run environment
  • Front of House
    • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls
    • Creating a welcoming and professional experience for guests and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in office management, administration, or HR support
  • Ideally a background within manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders
  • Experience with purchasing or supplier management (highly desirable)
  • A proactive, personable approach with excellent attention to detail
