We are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to join a well-established, growing organisation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a brand-new role, offering the opportunity to truly make it your own and become a key part of the business.
This position is central to the smooth running of the office and wider operations – acting as the “glue” that keeps everything together. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a vital role in supporting people, processes, and day-to-day business activities.
The Role
- HR & Administration Support
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries (with external HR support in place)
- Training & Compliance
- Managing training records and ensuring compliance is up to date
- Scheduling training and monitoring certification renewals
- Indirect Purchasing
- Managing office and site consumables (e.g. PPE, cleaning supplies, kitchens)
- Raising purchase orders, sourcing suppliers, and negotiating best value
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve supplier efficiency
- Office & Facilities Coordination
- Overseeing day-to-day office operations and supplier relationships
- Coordinating meetings, visitors, and internal events (including SLT meetings)
- Ensuring a professional, organised, and well‑run environment
- Front of House
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls
- Creating a welcoming and professional experience for guests and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in office management, administration, or HR support
- Ideally a background within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders
- Experience with purchasing or supplier management (highly desirable)
- A proactive, personable approach with excellent attention to detail
