We are seeking a Graduate Application Engineer to join a specialist engineering business operating within the water treatment sector. This role is field-based, combining technical learning with commercial exposure from day one. You will work closely with consulting engineers to influence how water treatment solutions are designed into new building projects.

The Graduate Application Engineer will be responsible for building relationships, developing technical understanding, and supporting early-stage specification work across a defined regional territory.

The Role

As a Graduate Application Engineer, you will spend four days per week in the field, engaging with consultants and building long-term professional relationships. You will gradually take ownership of your own region and pipeline, becoming a trusted technical advisor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Visiting consulting engineers and building strong professional relationships
  • Engaging at feasibility and design stage to influence specification decisions
  • Supporting the specification of water treatment solutions into projects
  • Delivering CPD presentations on key technical topics
  • Working with internal technical teams to develop proposals and convert opportunities
  • Building a strong understanding of water treatment applications across multiple sectors
  • Managing CRM activity and maintaining accurate pipeline records
  • Working towards commercial and performance targets

You will also undertake occasional overnight stays and periodic visits to head office in High Wycombe.

About You

We are looking for a Graduate Application Engineer who is:

  • Educated to degree level in engineering or a technical discipline
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • A strong communicator with confidence presenting to professionals
  • Highly organised with good time management skills
  • A full UK driving licence holder willing to travel extensively
