This is a hands-on engineering environment where youll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and see your designs progress from initial concept through to manufacture and final delivery.
They are now looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys practical design, problem-solving and working closely with manufacturing teams to turn concepts into finished products.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering mechanical designs across a range of bespoke engineering projects. Youll work closely with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams, taking projects from initial concept through detailed design and into production.
The role will involve:
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Developing bespoke mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
- Supporting projects from concept and design through to manufacture.
- Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and fit for purpose.
- Making design improvements and resolving technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Working with suppliers and external stakeholders where required.
- Supporting the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing designs.
- Ensuring designs meet relevant engineering standards and customer requirements.
About You
Were looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong practical engineering mindset and experience working within a manufacturing or product development environment.
