Location: High Wycombe, UK
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Duration: 3 months
An established and growing engineering and manufacturing business, specialising in the design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems, is looking to recruit a Stores Person to support its operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, checking, and accurately recording incoming deliveries
- Storing materials and equipment in a safe, organised, and systematic manner
- Picking, packing, and issuing stock to internal teams as required
- Maintaining accurate stock records and completing regular stock counts
- Keeping the stores area clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety procedures
- Reporting discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods promptly
- Assisting with stock ordering and inventory control
- Supporting colleagues and other departments when needed
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to follow processes and work methodically
- Basic computer literacy for stock control (e.g. spreadsheets or inventory systems)
- Physically fit and able to move and lift stock safely
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
