Location: High Wycombe, UK
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Duration: 3 months

An established and growing engineering and manufacturing business, specialising in the design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems, is looking to recruit a Stores Person to support its operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving, checking, and accurately recording incoming deliveries
  • Storing materials and equipment in a safe, organised, and systematic manner
  • Picking, packing, and issuing stock to internal teams as required
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and completing regular stock counts
  • Keeping the stores area clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety procedures
  • Reporting discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods promptly
  • Assisting with stock ordering and inventory control
  • Supporting colleagues and other departments when needed

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory role (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow processes and work methodically
  • Basic computer literacy for stock control (e.g. spreadsheets or inventory systems)
  • Physically fit and able to move and lift stock safely
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
