Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary : £50,000 £55,000 (DOE) Type : Permanent / Hybrid

The Role
- Lead mechanical design from concept to manufacture for machinery and process systems
- Oversee a small design team, checking and approving work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Produce 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and BOMs
- Plan workloads, allocate resources, and support Project Managers
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues
- Manage drawing release, revision control, and documentation
Youll Need
- HNC / HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 8 years experience in machinery, process, or automation design
- Strong fabrication, pipework, and assembly knowledge
- Experience mentoring, checking drawings, and maintaining design standards
- Confident communicator ready to step into leadership
