We’re working with an established engineering and manufacturing business that is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join its Quality team.
This is a key position with responsibility for supplier quality, non-conformance, customer quality and continuous improvement. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on quality performance across both the operation and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities as a Senior Quality Engineer
- Lead risk-based supplier audits
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List
- Monitor and report supplier quality KPIs
- Manage escalated supplier NCRs
- Act as closure authority for internal and supplier NCRs
- Review root cause and corrective actions
- Ensure preventative actions are effective
- Own customer NCR responses
- Act as the quality interface for key customers
- Support NADCAP audit readiness across Welding, Heat Treatment and NDT
- Ensure quality inductions are completed
About You, as a Senior Quality Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer with a background in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
You’ll ideally have experience in:
- Supplier quality and supplier audits
- Supplier development
- NCR and corrective action management
- Root cause analysis
- Customer quality
- Quality KPIs
- Working within technically demanding manufacturing environments
You’ll be comfortable challenging quality issues, influencing stakeholders and driving corrective actions through to effective closure.
