Quality Manager – Aerospace AS9100D Expertise

Our client, a leading innovator in manufacturing, is looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Quality Manager to take their Quality Management Team to the next level. If you thrive in precision manufacturing environments, love driving continuous improvement, and have expert knowledge of AS9100D, ISO9001, and ISO14001, this could be your next career-defining role.

From cutting-edge machining to specialised processes like shot peening, MPI, and EDM, you’ll embed quality at the heart of every project, influence engineering decisions, and directly impact product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the QMS, ensuring AS9100D compliance and meeting customer-specific aerospace requirements.

  • Lead internal and external audits, including AS9100D Stage 1 & 2 certification, keeping the business audit-ready at all times.

  • Approve First Article Inspections (FAI/AS9102) and oversee MRB and non-conformance processes.

  • Champion special process validation and continuous improvement initiatives across all operations.

  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers to maintain world-class quality performance.

  • Embed quality thinking into NPI, production readiness, and engineering design reviews.

What Our Client Is Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading quality in the aerospace sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100D, ISO9001:2015, and ISO14001:2015.

  • Hands-on experience with machining, FAI, PPAP, and special processes.

  • Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills (8D, RCA, CAPA).

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.

  • Experienced in managing audits and leading teams to maintain audit-ready systems.
