Are you a hands-on Project Engineer with strong SolidWorks 3D design skills and experience developing practical machinery solutions? This is an opportunity to take ownership of varied engineering projects, combining detailed design work with site surveys, layout planning and the integration of machinery into complete working solutions. Working within a specialist engineering business, you'll play an important role in turning project requirements into practical, manufacturable designs. The Role As Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Producing detailed 3D designs, general arrangement drawings and bills of materials using SolidWorks. Developing designs with manufacture, installation and practical application in mind. Carrying out site surveys to assess existing equipment, available space and project requirements. Designing effective machinery layouts that maximise available floor space. Developing complete engineering solutions, including the integration of third-party machinery where required. Supporting projects from initial site assessment and design through to the development of workable engineering solutions. About You We're looking for an engineer with a strong background in machinery design and project engineering, ideally with recent experience delivering similar projects. You'll bring: Strong SolidWorks 3D skills β essential. Experience using other CAD packages alone will not be sufficient. Experience producing manufacturing drawings, general arrangements and bills of materials. A practical understanding of machinery design and designing for manufacture. Confidence carrying out site surveys and translating requirements into effective layouts and designs. The ability to consider complete systems, including the integration of third-party equipment. A hands-on, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to combine design office responsibilities with site-based work. The Opportunity This role would suit an engineer who enjoys seeing projects through from initial assessment to practical design solutions, rather than focusing solely on CAD work. Experience within the exact industry is not essential. The priority is a proven track record in similar machinery design and project engineering work, alongside the technical skills and practical approach needed to deliver successful projects. If you have strong SolidWorks skills and experience delivering practical machinery engineering projects, we'd be keen to hear from you . TPBN1_UKTJ
