The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Wireman to join an established engineering and electronics manufacturing company based in Macclesfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Panel Wireman / Panel Builder / Electrical Fitter looking for an immediate contract position, with the potential to move into a permanent position. The initial contract will be for 3 months, with a temp-to-perm opportunity available for the right candidate. You will be responsible for the building and wiring of electrical control panels, working from electrical schematics and drawings and ensuring completed panels are wired and assembled to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and wiring electrical control panels
- Working from electrical schematics, drawings and wiring diagrams
- Panel assembly and component installation
- Cable preparation, routing and termination
- Electrical wiring and connections
- Carrying out checks and testing on completed panels
- Panel modifications and rework where required
- Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
- Working to production schedules and project deadlines
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Panel Wireman, Panel Builder or Electrical Fitter
- Strong control panel wiring experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Industrial electrical wiring experience
- Experience with panel assembly and electrical components
- Good attention to detail
- High standard of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for an immediate start
