An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPI Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing advanced manufacturing business working on complex metallic products and assemblies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys taking new products from concept through to full production. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving industrialisation activities, improving manufacturability, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through to production ramp-up
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes for metallic components and assemblies
- Produce manufacturing documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process flows
- Work closely with Design Engineering to improve design for manufacture (DFM) and producibility
- Support project delivery through effective planning, risk management, and milestone tracking
- Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure smooth product industrialisation
- Support PFMEA/DFMEA activities and drive risk mitigation actions during NPI phases
- Liaise with external suppliers regarding tooling and manufacturing support
- Assess manufacturing methods to ensure the most cost-effective production solutions
- Support capital equipment and tooling investment justifications
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant quality and regulatory standards
