You’ll be working alongside a highly experienced specialist within this niche market, giving you the opportunity to learn from the best whilst developing your own technical and commercial expertise.
This is an Internal Sales Engineer role with plenty of variety. One minute you could be supporting customers with a complex sensing application, the next you’ll be liaising with international suppliers, preparing quotations, or identifying opportunities to introduce new products into the market. The business works across a fascinating mix of industries including Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Rail, Civil Engineering, Research Institutes and Universities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing incoming technical sales enquiries via phone and email
- Supporting customers in selecting the right sensor solutions for their applications
- Producing quotations, proposals and following up opportunities
- Working closely with overseas manufacturers and suppliers
- Cross-selling a broad range of sensor technologies
- Supporting exhibitions, customer visits and external sales activities when required
- Assisting with marketing initiatives and identifying new market opportunities
- Providing online technical/web-chat support
- Building strong commercial awareness whilst developing technically

- Have an engineering background (HNC, Degree or equivalent experience)
- Have exposure to Sensors such as Pressure, Force, Position, Vibration or Strain
- Enjoy both technical problem solving and customer interaction
