Production Planner
Salary: Β£30,000 - Β£40,000
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Onsite
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a key role responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing activity to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Engineering and Stores, you will manage production priorities, material availability and capacity constraints to maintain a smooth and efficient production flow.
As Production Planner, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and maintaining production schedules in line with customer demand, business priorities, material availability and manufacturing capacity.
- Reviewing capacity and scheduling jobs to support efficient production flow and on-time delivery.
- Monitoring progress against the production plan and escalating risks, delays and material shortages.
- Using an ERP/MRP system to review supply and demand requirements and plan production orders.
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product routings where required.
- Attending production review meetings and providing clear updates on progress, risks, overdue work and urgent actions.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities across planning accuracy, workflow, stock control and production efficiency.
The successful Production Planner will have:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, engineering support or production control environment.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning or shortage management. xgikmsk
