An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a highly respected and long-established architectural metalwork business with over 80 years of industry heritage. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are now looking to strengthen their workshop team with a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator.

The Role as a Sheet Metal Fabricator:

  • Working within a busy fabrication workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality sheet metal components and assemblies to exacting standards.
  • You will work from technical drawings and collaborate closely with the wider manufacturing team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities of a Sheet Metal Fabricator:

  • Fabricate sheet metal components and assemblies from engineering drawings.
  • Operate CNC Brake Press machinery.
  • Operate Guillotine equipment.
  • Carry out TIG and MIG welding activities.
  • Interpret and work accurately from technical and fabrication drawings.
  • Ensure all work meets required quality standards.
  • Support the delivery of projects to agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the workshop and production teams.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator.
  • Experience operating CNC Brake Press machinery.
  • Experience using Guillotine equipment.
  • TIG and MIG welding experience.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude.
