Production Planner
Salary: Β£30,000 - Β£40,000

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Onsite

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a key role responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing activity to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Engineering and Stores , you will manage production priorities, material availability and capacity constraints to maintain a smooth and efficient production flow.

As Production Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and maintaining production schedules in line with customer demand, business priorities, material availability and manufacturing capacity.
  • Reviewing capacity and scheduling jobs to support efficient production flow and on-time delivery.
  • Monitoring progress against the production plan and escalating risks, delays and material shortages.
  • Using an ERP/MRP system to review supply and demand requirements and plan production orders.
  • Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product routings where required.
  • Attending production review meetings and providing clear updates on progress, risks, overdue work and urgent actions.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities across planning accuracy, workflow, stock control and production efficiency.

The successful Production Planner will have:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, engineering support or production control environment.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning or shortage management.
