The Role

As a PLC Software Engineer, you'll take ownership of a live TwinCAT 3 PLC platform used on industrial equipment across the UK. You'll develop new software, improve existing control systems, commission equipment, fault-find on live systems and work closely with electrical, process and software engineers. This is a long-term product development role where you'll see your software running on real-world industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop TwinCAT 3 Structured Text software
  • Write PLC logic, sequences, alarms and interlocks
  • Commission industrial control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve faults remotely and on-site
  • Support and improve existing PLC software
  • Work closely with electrical, process and software engineers
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Commercial experience programming in Structured Text (IEC 61131-3)
  • Experience supporting live industrial control systems
  • Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics
  • Hands-on commissioning and fault-finding experience
  • Full right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
