We're recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering manufacturer looking for someone who wants to take ownership of quality across the business - not just maintaining standards, but continuously improving them.

Working alongside Engineering, Production and Purchasing, you'll play a key role in reducing defects, improving processes, strengthening supplier performance and ensuring customers receive products they can rely on. What you'll be doing:

  • Own and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Investigate quality issues, customer complaints and NCRs using 8D and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, PPAPs and Control Plans.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production and Suppliers to improve quality and reduce defects.
  • Carry out internal and supplier audits.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

What we're looking for:

  • Someone who enjoys getting out onto the shop floor, working collaboratively with engineering teams and finding practical solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Experience in a Quality Engineering position within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience producing and maintaining PFMEAs, PPAPs and Control Plans.
  • Practical experience using 8D, Six Sigma or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience of supplier quality management and internal auditing.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with customers, suppliers and colleagues at every level.
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for continuous improvement.
