ReeVR Talent are looking for a Test Engineer to join our clients high-performing engineering team supporting the development of advanced technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing on-site test capabilities that support product development and innovation.
As the Test Engineer you will be working within a fast-paced test environment, ensuring that test stands remain reliable, safe and capable of meeting evolving technical requirements. Collaborating with engineering stakeholders to define future testing needs, develop technical solutions and deliver upgrades that support ongoing development programmes. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical design, problem solving and leadership, while contributing to the continuous improvement of testing infrastructure and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and enhance a fleet of test stands and testing infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, reliability, and safety.
- Work with engineering and test teams to identify future capability requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Support the design, development and implementation of test equipment upgrades in line with project schedules.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Analyse test data and system performance to validate reliability and identify improvements.
- Lead technical reviews, fault finding and failure mode analysis to resolve issues and optimise operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support commissioning, maintenance planning and work package delivery for test systems.
You are a motivated engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working collaboratively in a fast-moving engineering environment. You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable working across multiple projects while maintaining a focus on safety, quality and delivery.
Skills and Experience:- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Several years of post-graduate industry experience in a manufacturing, process, laboratory, or engineering test environment.
- Experience in the design and delivery of engineering systems, ideally including one or more of the following: Test stands, rigs, or dynamometer systems; Electrical chassis design; Control systems.
- Ability to interpret technical data and perform basic thermodynamic calculations such as efficiency or heat balance assessments.
- Experience creating and interpreting technical documentation.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and safety tools.
- Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage work packages and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
