A growing engineering business within the water treatment sector is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its expanding UK service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Field Service Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, customer interaction and working across varied sites.

This Field Service Engineer role offers autonomy, technical variety and long-term progression within a specialist industry.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, installation and commissioning of specialist water treatment systems across customer sites. A Field Service Engineer in this role will work on equipment including:

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
  • UV disinfection systems
  • Water softeners
  • Filtration equipment
  • Chemical dosing systems
  • Chlorine dioxide systems

The Field Service Engineer will be based from home, travelling directly to customer sites across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, repairs, commissioning and installation work.
  • Diagnose faults and complete effective troubleshooting.
  • Complete site reports and technical documentation.
  • Support installation projects and customer technical queries.
  • Represent the business professionally on-site.
  • Work independently whilst being supported by an experienced engineering team.

Candidate Requirements

We are keen to speak with any experienced or aspiring Field Service Engineer, particularly from:

  • Water treatment or water hygiene (L8)
  • Commercial plumbing or pipe fitting
  • Electro-mechanical service engineering
  • Pumps, dosing systems or utilities
  • Boiler servicing or similar technical field roles

To be successful as a Field Service Engineer, you will need:

  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel with occasional overnight stays
