An Electrical Project Engineer to manage the design, execution, and completion of electrical (tunnel) projects, combining technical expertise with project management skills to ensure systems are safe, efficient, and delivered on time and within budget.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of electrical projects, from initial design and planning to execution and commissioning.
- Design: Developing technical designs, analysing electrical requirements, and working to realistic milestones.
- Technical Oversight: Conducting quality assurance, performing on-site inspections, testing electrical systems, and troubleshooting issues to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, specifically CD 352.
- Self-Management: Coordinating with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, managing purchased resources, reporting progress.
- Documentation and Reporting: Preparing detailed reports, maintaining records of design changes, test results, and project milestones, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Specialized Applications: Leading projects in the Road Tunnels and including discipline in power distribution systems and installations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, electrical design, system testing, and knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Management Skills: Ability to manage scope, schedule, quality, risk, and change control.
