CAD Engineer Are you an experienced CAD Engineer with strong Solid Works skills and a passion for transforming concepts into high-quality manufacturing drawings?
We're working with a growing UK engineering and manufacturing business that designs and delivers innovative products for commercial environments.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to add a talented CAD Engineer to their collaborative design team.

The Role Working as part of an experienced CAD team, you'll be responsible for taking projects from initial concepts through to manufacture.
Using Solid Works, you'll create accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings while ensuring every project meets customer specifications, production requirements and agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities of a CAD Engineer: Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Solid Works.
Convert customer 2D drawings into fully detailed 3D models for client approval.
Create comprehensive manufacturing drawing packs for the fabrication team.
Ensure all drawings comply with internal design processes and production standards.
Manage multiple projects while meeting agreed deadlines and specifications.
Upload drawings and documentation through customer design portals.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide technical support and assist with customer enquiries when required.
Carry out any additional duties as requested by the CAD Team Leader.
About You You'll be a motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in producing accurate technical documentation.
We're looking for someone with: At least two years' experience using Solid Works (preferred).
Experience producing both 2D and 3D technical drawings.
The ability to interpret and work from customer 2D drawing packages.
Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical ability.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
A proactive, positive attitude with excellent team-working skills.
A full UK driving licence.
