Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 3:45pm – 1:30am
Earn an additional £10,000 - £15,000 for a 4-day working week.
Are you a Quality Engineer who enjoys working independently, solving problems
and having a real impact on manufacturing quality?
This could be a great opportunity to step into a PM/Night Shift Quality Engineer
position, offering a 33% shift allowance on top of a £40,000–£45,000 basic salary.
Working Monday to Thursday, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of

- A hands‑on role where you'll be close to the manufacturing process.
- The opportunity to make a genuine impact on quality, rather than simply monitoring it.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues as they happen.
The Quality Engineer Role
You'll join an established Quality Assurance team within a busy industrial
manufacturing environment, supporting the production operation throughout the PM
shift.
You'll be responsible for helping to ensure components, sub‑assemblies and finished
products meet the required standards, while preventing quality issues from
progressing through the manufacturing process or reaching the customer.
Key responsibilities, as a Quality Engineer will include:
- Supporting Production and Engineering with quality issues, investigations and improvement activities.
- Leading and supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans.
- Carrying out and reporting on product and process qualification testing.
- Monitoring incoming and outgoing quality and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Raising and managing quality notifications and alerts.
- Participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
- Investigating customer returns and working with Production, Engineering and R&D to identify root causes.
- Reviewing and approving minor process deviations and product concessions.
- Supporting verification and validation activities.
- Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and product quality.
About You, as a Quality Engineer
We're looking for a hands‑on Quality Engineer who enjoys being involved in the
detail and isn't afraid to get onto the shop floor and investigate problems.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience within aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Practical engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
- Experience with 8D, FMEA, Control Plans and Ishikawa/root cause analysis.
- The confidence to investigate problems and work collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams.
