We are seeking a Head of Operations to take ownership of a complex, fast-growing manufacturing environment and shape it into a high-performing, scalable, and future-ready operation. This is not a role for maintaining the status quo. You will architect, optimise, and scale operations, creating structure from growth and embedding the systems, processes, and culture required for sustained performance.
Operating at the heart of an expanding scientific instrument business, you will lead a site experiencing rapid evolution from new product introduction through to operational scale-up and capability build. You will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation is not only ready for today's demand, but engineered for tomorrow's growth.
What success looks like
- A site operating with clarity, discipline, and consistent performance rhythm
- Seamless transition of new products into scalable, repeatable manufacturing
- Robust, compliant, and efficient operational processes
- A highly engaged, accountable, and high-performing workforce
- Lean, optimised material flow with a focus on continuous improvement
- A facility designed for future scale, not current limitation
Your impact
As the senior operational leader on site, you will set the standard for performance, leadership, and execution. You will:
- Lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams, strengthening leadership capability across the organisation
- Build a culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and operational excellence
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure full value chain alignment
- Drive transformation initiatives that elevate performance, scalability, and control
About you
You are a decisive and forward-thinking operational leader who thrives in complexity and growth. You instinctively identify inefficiencies and know how to resolve them. You bring structure, clarity, and discipline to fast-paced manufacturing environments. You are comfortable leading from the front, setting expectations, and driving change. You have a track record of scaling operations and building high-performing teams.
If you are motivated by transformation, precision, and the opportunity to build something that truly scales, we would like to hear from you.
