If you enjoy figuring out how something should move, lift, transfer or fit together, then heading into the workshop to see it take shape, this deserves a look.
You’ll design bespoke industrial machinery, owning projects from the first sketch through detailed design, build and testing.
Different briefs, real engineering decisions and the satisfaction of seeing your work in motion.
The role
- Turn customer requirements into practical, robust mechanical solutions.
- Create concepts, assemblies and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.
- Get into the detail: mechanisms, materials, pneumatics, fabrication and assembly.
- Work directly with the workshop, solving build challenges and refining your designs.
- Take responsibility for your projects from concept to completed equipment.
You’ll bring
- Experience designing machinery or industrial equipment, with the confidence to own a complete project.
- Strong SolidWorks skills and a practical understanding of how things are made.
- Experience in automation, conveyors, packaging, handling equipment or related machinery.
- Sound engineering judgement and the curiosity to work through unfamiliar problems.
Pneumatics knowledge is a strong advantage. Lifting and handling experience is particularly welcome. An apprenticeship, fitting or machine-building background would also stand out.
