Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on complex electromechanical systems for hazardous environments? Join a growing engineering team that values creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the full product development lifecycle – from initial concept and prototyping through to testing and final production. You’ll work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, precision-engineered solutions, with a focus on performance, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:- Lead or contribute to mechanical design projects from concept through to manufacture
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using 3D CAD
- Produce and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and assembly instructions
- Design for manufacture using a range of techniques including sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining
- Perform stress analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and materials selection
- Liaise with suppliers and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation activities
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in 3D CAD
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with complex electromechanical assemblies
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment and wearing multiple hats
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
