The Role

As an Electronics Component Engineer, you'll be the technical expert for electronic components used throughout our products. Working closely with Engineering, Procurement and Quality, you'll ensure components are suitable, compliant and available throughout the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Researching electronic component datasheets.
  • Supporting component selection and approval.
  • Assessing component availability and lifecycle status.
  • Identifying alternatives for obsolete components.
  • Working with Procurement and Quality teams.
  • Investigating component-related issues.
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation.

What we're looking for

We're interested in hearing from experienced Electronics Component Engineers as well as Electronics Engineers looking to move into a specialist component engineering role. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working with electronic components.
  • Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • The ability to interpret technical datasheets.
  • An understanding of component selection or qualification.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience within aerospace, defence, space, medical devices or other high-reliability electronics industries would be beneficial but isn't essential.
