We’re working with a specialist engineering business that designs and builds highly bespoke industrial machinery and process equipment for a range of demanding industries. They’re growing and looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their close-knit, multidisciplinary engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be hands-on, technically involved and genuinely influential in the design process. The Opportunity You’ll have ownership of mechanical design projects from initial concept through to manufacture, installation and commissioning. You’ll be working on: Bespoke industrial machinery Complex mechanical systems Material handling & conveyor systems Sheet metal, frames, enclosures & guarding Pneumatics, hydraulics, motors & drive systems Mechanical/electrical integration New designs and continuous improvementsYou'll work closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers and customers to turn ideas into fully working engineering solutions. What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys solving problems and designing something different every day. You'll ideally have: Strong 3D CAD experience Experience designing machinery or bespoke equipment Good knowledge of manufacturing and DFM/DFA Experience with mechanical systems and integration A practical, hands-on approach The ability to take ownership of projectsExperience with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor or Creo would be beneficial. Knowledge of machinery safety, commissioning, compliance or technical leadership would also be advantageous. Why Consider It?
